A Happy Fashionably (Be)lated Bday SJP!

While we are a little late in wishing a Happy Bday to the ever fabulous Sarah Jessica, but just consider us fashionably late. We feel this a better time than any to pay tribute to some of the famous (and our favorite) outfits from Sex & The City over the years (and possibly some sneak peeks from the new movie as well). What fashion blog is a fashion blog without a mention to our fave ladies on SATC?

While all of these outfits are definately noteworthy-we want to add a few sneak peeks for the eagerly awaited SATC2 due in theaters in just a few weeks! Apparenty our fave fab four will be traveling to Marrakech on a Moroccan adventure. We anticipate this as an explosion for exotic, middle eastern inspired fashions and accesories since we all know the eccentric Patricia Fields seems to set the standards when it comes to trends for the rest of the world. As many of you already know, www.imafashionaddict.com has an entire page solely dedicated to donating to charities. These are two foundations we hold near and dear to our hearts and we wholeheartedly support them. We have both had personal experiences with someone close to us that has had to battle breast cancer and since we are both Moms and are featuring other Mom's on our site, we thought it was fitting to donate to the Children's Hospitals.

BeeGee Bags

OK, OK, so it doesn't take more than a cute bag or a great deal to knock us right off our rocker. We know. However, I just got off the phone with such a nice and creative lady named Brooke, who is the mastermind and designer behind BeeGee Bags. Not only is she the Power Mom designer that inspired the concept of our website, but she also contracts other Power Moms to sew her handbags! Talk about a double whammy for what we support!?!

She was a lawyer but after a fight with Breast Cancer, she decided to chang careers to do what she loves (and what we love that she loves) -designing handbags. While I was talking to her she was picking her kids up from school and even had the family dog in the car. So sweet. Look at these charming vintage inspired clutches.

 

What we love most about her style is that she does not get too caught up in trends and focuses on each piece having a timeless design with a perfectionist's attention to details. Just like Rachel Zoe collects her couture to pass on to her kids someday, we think we will be collecting these for ourselves! Here's a few more to feast your eyes on.

La Mer Collections

WOW! This is exciting! Our first real post! Hopefully we maintain proper blogging etiquette as we are newbies :-)

We are getting ready to get the website up and running for all you Fashion Addicts out there! While we are finishing stocking up on our inventory, we can not even contain ourselves with the excitement of the amazing deals and awesome products we have found for everyone. Call us your personal shoppers if you will. Everything you will see will be things that we, ourselves, either own or are dying to own.

Speaking of....we are simply DYING over the FABULOUS and stylish watches from La Mer Collection. We can not WAIT to tie one of these on. not only are they unique and the perfect accessory, but the collection is designed by a woman, Martine Ilana. Her inspirations are her extensive travels through Italy, Bali, South Africa and Thailand. Her exquisite approach to "the connection between art and technology" magically transforms into these timepieces.

WE ARE SO EXCITED! We are getting so close to the launch of our new online boutique: "imafashionaddict.com". We are not your ordinary online boutique, people!

Our mission is to help promote and feature the many women and mom designers out there. We have a section of our site dedicated to bios and information promoting these fabulous and creative women.

We also have an entire portion of the site set up for people to purchase items where 100% of the profits go to our two favorite charities. We truly believe in giving back and shopping for a cause. We are just two moms who love fashion-whether it be clothing, accessories, baby and kid items, home decor-but most of all we LOVE a good bargain. We call ourselves frugal fashionistas, budget babes, most of all we are fashion addicts. Our site will also sell designer items at as close to wholesale as possible. 

We are sitting here counting down the seconds until our new merchandise arrives!! Amanda, our "West Coast Buyer" ventured into the unknown yesterday to pick up our samples and collections from one of our suppliers in Cali. BCBG, JBrand Jeans, LaRok, Laundry....Our heads are swirling and we are in delightful deleria (is that even a word?!?) in anticipation of receiving our new items! Amanda's flight arrives in 30 minutes. We are sitting here counting down the seconds to get our hands on our designer goods. We are feverishly working on the website, so it is up and running when we are ready to offer our new inventory and deals and steals. While the official launch will not be until sometime in May or June, we plan to give a sneak peek to everyone that has been patiently waiting.
