Beyond Obsessed (can you say Fashion Addict?)

So today we managed to make it to the last day of the apparel show here in Atlanta. Actually it was the last day for temporaries but this is usually when the show starts wrapping up anyway...

We came across some FABULOUS new lines that we are DYING to carry. One of our reps in NY (our La Mer Collection rep) carries a few of these and although she has sent pics, they are simply delicious in person. The best part about all of these lines I am going to post about is that they are ALL women designers. Since http://www.imafashionaddict.com/ is trying to promote women and mom designers, this goes hand in hand with our concept. (Holla to our fellow sistas).

The first one that I can not WAIT to get my (perfectly manicured) hands on is Yumi Kim (http://www.yumikim.com/)

These tops are to die for. The fabrics are so light and airy and the floral patterns are just screaming spring!

 

The following are definately some of my favorite dresses from this line. They are equally refreshing and beautiful. I have to have them all but thought I would just post a few for now otherwise I will literaaly bog down all the servers with my obsessions.

A Happy Fashionably (Be)lated Bday SJP!

While we are a little late in wishing a Happy Bday to the ever fabulous Sarah Jessica, but just consider us fashionably late. We feel this a better time than any to pay tribute to some of the famous (and our favorite) outfits from Sex & The City over the years (and possibly some sneak peeks from the new movie as well). What fashion blog is a fashion blog without a mention to our fave ladies on SATC?

Now that's a big flower, we must admit! We couldn't even pull one off that big in our garden, but the fancy black Dior heels bring the outfit down to earth a litte. http://www.imafashionaddict.com/ is selling rings that are almost a spitting image of that fab flower. Check 'em out!

While all of these outfits are definately noteworthy-we want to add a few sneak peeks for the eagerly awaited SATC2 due in theaters in just a few weeks! Apparenty our fave fab four will be traveling to Marrakech on a Moroccan adventure. We anticipate this as an explosion for exotic, middle eastern inspired fashions and accesories since we all know the eccentric Patricia Fields seems to set the standards when it comes to trends for the rest of the world. These are two foundations we hold near and dear to our hearts and we wholeheartedly support them. We have both had personal experiences with someone close to us that has had to battle breast cancer and since we are both Moms and are featuring other Mom's on our site, we thought it was fitting to donate to the Children's Hospitals.

BeeGee Bags

OK, OK, so it doesn't take more than a cute bag or a great deal to knock us right off our rocker. We know. However, I just got off the phone with such a nice and creative lady named Brooke, who is the mastermind and designer behind BeeGee Bags. Not only is she the Power Mom designer that inspired the concept of our website, but she also contracts other Power Moms to sew her handbags! Talk about a double whammy for what we support!?!

She was a lawyer but after a fight with Breast Cancer, she decided to chang careers to do what she loves (and what we love that she loves) -designing handbags. While I was talking to her she was picking her kids up from school and even had the family dog in the car. So sweet. Look at these charming vintage inspired clutches.

 

What we love most about her style is that she does not get too caught up in trends and focuses on each piece having a timeless design with a perfectionist's attention to details. WOW! This is exciting! Our first real post! Hopefully we maintain proper blogging etiquette as we are newbies :-)

We are getting ready to get the website up and running for all you Fashion Addicts out there!
